The Truth of Divorce

I near the end of my divorce, one where I spent a year in the American Justice system, feeling traumatized more by the system in 12 months than by my eight years of marriage.  This system, designed to keep human beings in its tentacles as long as legally possible, almost broke me; for all I know, it still may, because my dissolution is not yet complete.

It is unfathomable to think that over fifty percent of American families are exposed to the level of trauma I’ve already faced, and more.  The fact that Justice is blind also means that Justice does not recognize its own role in traumatizing a nation of Americans.  Justice must and someday will take off its blinders, when the American people begin to take the higher road and say no more to legislating morality, no more to wasting the lives of families it was setup to protect.

I speak with clarity when I say that I believe the world is heading into a new age of enlightenment.  One where Truth becomes more revered than Religion and where Politics can no longer be used to create laws that judge our tired and sick and poor.  I also believe we’re not there yet, the Age of Truth.
